Brittany Henderson earned a BFA in Studio Art from Abilene Christian University and an M.Ed. from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, where her graduate research focused on STEM education and increasing girls’ participation in STEM fields. Early in her teaching career, she pursued a transition into nursing but soon realized that her true passion lay in education.
This unique blend of art and science has shaped her 16-year career, during which she has taught both visual art and science across various grade levels. Brittany is passionate about weaving her STEAM expertise into her teaching through creativity, inquiry-based learning, and cross-disciplinary connections.
One of Brittany’s proudest achievements is helping fellow educators incorporate innovation and technology into their own teaching practices. In 2024 alone, she supported over 2,500 educators in bringing engaging, relevant content and dynamic learning experiences into their classrooms through original resources and sharing her expertise.
When she’s not at school, Brittany enjoys reading a good book on a sunny patio, brunching with her family, catching a Cubs game in Chicago, and discovering new outdoor adventures.
